About this event

Bang Bang Betty & the H-Bombs present “JUMP SISTER, JUMP!”

Celebrating some of the greatest female blues, R&B and gospel artists of the 50s.

3 incredible singers share their passion for this exciting music, bringing to life the songs of extraordinary performers, which include the rockin’ gospel of Sister Rosetta Tharpe, swinging R&B of Ruth Brown & Etta James and the blues of Big Mama Thornton. Featuring the captivating Coo Jarvis, who fronts “Bang Bang Betty & the H-Bombs”;  the powerful voice of Peta Lee and Ayla Woodland, lead singer of knockout soul outfit “Milford Street Shakers”.

Backed by one of Perth’s hottest R&B bands “Bang Bang Betty and the H-Bombs”, shut your eyes and you’ll swear you were back in the early 50s.  There really will be a “Whole Lotta Shakin Going On” tonight!

Presented by:
Bang Bang Betty & the H-Bombs

The popular Bang Bang Betty & the H-Bombs trade in authentic, 50s-style swing, jump blues, R&B and rock n roll.

Fronted by Perth’s very own Miss Dynamite, Coo Jarvis, the band's hot R&B sound has wowed crowds from their hometown Perth to Tokyo, with sold-out shows at the Ellington and main stage performances at Cooly Rocks On festival in 2024.

Featuring Coo Jarvis (lead vocals and piano), Andy Jarvis (guitar), Mark Sprogowski (tenor sax), Dom D’Leno (drums) and Marc Gordon (double bass), the band's musicianship is matched by their exciting repertoire.
