About this event

Glynis Traill-Nash has long lived a double life: fashion writer by day, jazz singer by night. Now the two collide for the first time in this soirée of chic! Dressed to thrill and accessorised with a set list of stylish chansons, GTN will take you from Perth to Paris to unpick the world of fashion. She will answer your most pressing questions – What’s in? What’s out? Can I eat fries in that? Plus! Practical tips including how to (over) pack, when never to shop, and why you should always Think Pink! With ever-dapper musical director Josh Haines on piano, the show returns to Perth after playing to packed houses at the 2024 Perth International Cabaret Festival and Sydney Fringe Festival. Put your best Vivier forward because style is coming back in style!
"An absolute romp of fun" Out in Perth

Presented by:
Glynis Traill-Nash

Glynis Traill-Nash lives a double life: fashion writer by day, jazz singer by night. On the former, Glynis is one of Australia’s most experienced fashion experts. She was Fashion Editor of The Australian for 10 years and writes for Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire and Australian Financial Review. In 2023 she appeared in the ABC TV series The Way We Wore and launched the podcast In Fashion. As a singer, she has performed in venues across Sydney, Perth and London and took a one-woman jazz cabaret to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has studied with jazz luminaries Ian Shaw (London), Kerrie Biddell (Sydney) and Helen Matthews (Perth). Her debut album, After Blue, was released in 2003. All About Jazz described her voice as “somewhere between red wine and scotch”—two of her favourite tipples.
