VENUE REGISTRATIONS OPEN FOR 2019 FRINGE WORLD FESTIVAL

FRINGE WORLD Festival is inviting independent venues in Western Australia to register their interest in participating in the 2019 Festival.
As an open-access Festival, individuals and performing companies from Western Australia and anywhere in the world choose to present their show in the Fringe and submit a registration. Unlike traditional arts festivals, FRINGE WORLD doesn’t curate the program, which means that artists control the vision, creativity and business management of their work.
The open-access model of the Festival extends to venues, with independent performance spaces in Perth and Western Australia invited to register as a venue for the 2019 Festival.
Venues have until 31 July to register with the Festival and are encouraged to read the Venue Registration Pack to find out what’s involved. Registration for events opens on 17 July.
FRINGE WORLD recently released its 2018 Festival Impact Report, which revealed that the Festival has consolidated its rapid early years of growth and maintained its position as the largest annual event in Western Australia and the third largest Fringe festival in the world, in terms of tickets sold and attendance.
The 2018 Festival featured 730 events at 155 venues and achieved more than 360,000 attendances at ticketed events, crossing the $10 million mark for overall box office sales.
Events in the 2018 Festival were presented in venues across 24 suburbs within the Perth metro area plus regional shows performed at Geraldton and Rottnest Island.
FRINGE WORLD 2019 will run from Friday 18 January to Sunday 17 February.
