Standing ovation is deserved for this stand up presentation by talented youth of the LGQTA alliance to a sold out audience! One wouldn't need to drink to feel buzzed at the Belgian Beer Cafe thanks to these stars.
First up is Jackson Canny, a bipolar bisexual who is attracted to, "dudes who look like mum and chicks who look like dad". Jackson generously shares so much congeniality with the audience, along with Jackson’s personal formula to comedic success which made me feel like I learned something.
Next comic performer is Cody Lam, who is definitely dressed to impress. Gaysian Cody revs the crowd up into the spirit of FRINGE WORLD with pocket confetti lending a decidedly celebratory spirit to the evening. By day, Cody is a newly minted primary school teacher who brings class to the world of comedy.
Cody has been a comedian only since July 2019 so this gang definitely has room to improve up to five stars, because the potential is decidedly there. Especially if they keep showcasing premium guest comediennes like renowned Kate, who makes no secret of being open to a new relationship.
Dear Kate, I'm available. All I need is a wig. Since I am a transgender lesbian with a shaved head writing this, maybe I qualify.
Finally, this event is anchored by Charlotte Glance, the brains of the group who writes intelligent, political humor. Her jokes make one wish to rise above the gender binary.
This is the only LGQTA comedy troupe at Fringe with both genders so it surely is worth catching up with this attractive and engaging lineup.
With the amount of laughter generated from the audience, they would agree.
