Sometimes you see a show so good that it is almost impossible to find an adjective that does it justice. I’m happy to say that The Madonna Circus: Revolution is one of those shows.
Feats of strength and agility are perfectly balanced by rocking dance tunes from Madonna, and a flawless performance by the lady herself AKA drag impresario Barbie Q.
Seamless choreography underpins the acts with back up dancers and performers and the ever presence of Madonna as ringmaster or dominatrix depending on your point of view.
The show combines the talents of Barbie Q, Kinetica, Mr Pole World 2014, Blue Phoenix and Mr Boylesque Australia 2017 Karl Kayoss.
The show includes mind-bending acts on the hoop and ribbons, with extraordinary tricks of balance and strength, even performed in 10-inch heels.
Champion male pole dancer Blue Phoenix wows the audience as he writhes effortlessly around the pole like a spider, his acts of endurance and muscle control almost eye watering.
Tumblers perform unbelievable balancing acts working together and individually to leave the audience stunned and a little exhausted themselves.
A special guest star makes an appearance halfway through the show, sending the crowd wild, and is surprisingly friendly with our star, their ongoing feud apparently put aside for the evening.
Beautiful bodies and extravagant costumes paying tribute to Madonna’s artistic evolution, contribute to the heady mixture of erotica and circus.
The individual performances are smoothly merged by the towering Material Girl as she struts the stage miming the catchy lyrics of the 80s and 90s and keeping the audience engaged and enthralled.
Clever lighting and staging contribute to the supreme professionalism present throughout the performance.
This show is all about the audience and does not disappoint.
The stars were available after the show for meet and greet and photos and were well deserving of the accolades paid to them by an adoring audience.
