Music has the power to change lives, it has the ability to impact our mental state and lift our mood and if you don’t believe that and want to see evidence then get yourself to a Two Cent Professional show. The atmosphere was buzzing thanks to these amazingly talented performers.
The show ‘All Horn-ed Up’ promised a powerhouse 5-piece horn section and I was excited to see them perform but a little sad, after seeing the whole band perform in previous years, to see that it would be only the 5 piece horn section. Nope, I read that wrong! All 11 band members FILLED the stage at the Ellington to belt out the bangers.
The infectious positive energy of the performers is what sets Two Cent Professional apart from the rest. They not only have great chemistry between band mates, but their playful nature makes you want to join in the fun! We laughed, we sang, we danced, we laughed a whole heap more and we practically floated out the door at the end of the night.
The show is a joy to experience. When they announced it was their final song, I think collectively the whole audience said ‘no way?’ and checked their watches! How could a whole hour have passed? Didn’t we just get started?
Two Cent Professional shows sell out fast! Here are my top tips:
- Book your tickets AS SOON as they are available! This is not a show you want to miss!
- Wear comfy shoes! I should have known better, this was not my first Two Cent Professional show and still I went in ridiculous heels! My heart didn’t realise that the show had been going for a full hour, but by the time I got back to the car, my feet sure could tell I’d been dancing for almost the whole time. It was worth it though!
