Seeing last year’s reviews had me cursing with FOMO for missing out on Bernie Dieter’s Club Kabarett due to a scheduling clash. So you can bet your sweet sparkly pasties I made sure it didn’t happen this time!

I was lucky enough to be able to get close and personal as I sat in an aisle seat with perfect unhindered view of the unhinged and unfiltered antics that were to follow.

I find with Fringe shows that there is way more excitement, and anticipation when the audience is in some way shape or form, involved with the antics of the performers. This show did not disappoint, starting way before everyone had taken their seats!

Bernie’s clever cast of Club Kabarett talent risked their bodies, throats, necks, ankles and nether regions to wow, shock and thoroughly entertain the audience.

Billed as an adults’ only show, this was definitely not for the prudish. The seductive performances gave cheeky new meaning to “bend over backwards”, “swinging from the roof” and “burning desire”. Like some of the audience members, I flag this show as “Filthy”… and we all loved it!

Bernie was deliciously decadent. A truly debaucherous diva with the most divine voice.

Kudos to the cast to their killer skills and precision timing, causing many “how the hell did they do thaaaat?!?!” moments. These stunts are definitely NOT to be tried at home…although, I may have found a new way to serve cake…
