Get Your Sass On! This was the “sassiest” of shows where we got to goggle at Sassie Cassie and her crew of luscious-looking drag queen stars as they gyrated sexily through their favourite song and dance numbers. There was an abundance of sensory talent with each Queen flashing her individual style with a strip-tease, burlesque number as a pure bonus.

Starring as the emcee and main act, Cassie slinked her way up and down the aisle in a series of personas, the most dramatic one being the sinning nun begging for mercy - hot stuff! The star line-up of high-end performers included Alexas Armstrong, Miss Cara, Moesha, Veronica Jean Jones, and Rhonda Civic, outdoing each other with their gorgeous costumes and delectable singing and dancing.

One could have been mistaken in thinking they were attending a Met Gala Opening with a drag show breaking out due to the outstanding fashion on display. The dresses were to die for, with Sassie Cassie, in particular, wearing one fab outfit after another, mostly pour-on dresses in all the primary colours that looked absolutely stunning on her.

“Sassio Cassio,” Cassie singing and playing keyboards, treated us to an autobiographical performance that gave a glimpse into her history and dreams…”this is my life, it’s not perfect, but it’s mine…” It was an honour to hear such an intimate and revealing song.

The audience numbers were not what they should have been given the quality of the show, and this was most likely due to the Australia Day fireworks and celebrations. But, huge kudos to the Hostess of Hotness and her Queendom for creating an even better fireworks display inside Connections Nightclub! This was the last performance for Sassie Cassie for this FRINGE WORLD season, but catch her and her entourage around Perth until next year’s FRINGE.
