This comedy show delivers exactly what the name promises: a glorious mix of trials, errors, and uncontrollable laughter.

From the moment Akmal hit the stage, his larger-than-life personality (and jaunty red vest) set the tone. Whether he’s asking the audience, “What the hell are you doing here?” or seemingly questioning his own presence, the self-deprecating humour quickly won everyone over. Sure, not every joke landed, but Akmal’s ability to shrug off the occasional flat laugh and dive headfirst into his next bit is a testament to the calibre of a performer who’s been making audiences laugh since the ‘90s.

One of the best parts of the evening was Akmal’s razor-sharp crowd work. He has an uncanny knack for picking just the right audience members to interact with—sorry, front-row couple from Rockingham, but you were comedy gold. His playful banter had everyone in stitches, and his ability to circle back to earlier jokes with perfectly timed callbacks showcased his impressive comedic agility.

Not for the faint-hearted, Akmal’s show thrives on an unfiltered approach. From taking digs at the mystical world of crystals and reiki (“Seriously, what is reiki?”) to testing the audience’s limits with a cheeky genocide joke early on, he knows how to toe the line and push boundaries. For those just dipping their toes into the world of Fringe, this show is the perfect introduction. So, get your tickets, grab a seat (preferably not in the front row), and prepare for a night of side-splitting comedy you won’t soon forget!
