Nothing could be finer than sipping a glass of champs while enjoying delightful jazz music on a summer's night in the beautifully lit-up rose garden of the Lamont's Bishops House. Sound pleasurable? Read on!

Do not miss out on this enchanting venue (tucked away on Spring Street in the CBD surrounded by high-rise office towers) with Catherine Summers, Perth jazz singer extraordinaire, and her professional six-piece band performing original jazz numbers like "Autumn Leaves", "Champs Elysee" (she sang in impeccable French), and "Life is a Cabaret," or more current songs "re-imagined" in a jazzy format such as Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble," Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine," and ABBA's "Thank you for the Music," the grande finale that the audience did a sing-along to (with professional coaching).

Catherine Summers dazzled with her vocals and a glamorous flapper look that included a floor-length navy silk dress adorned with a cape of pearls and a feather and gemstone fascinator. She was later joined on stage by two exquisite dancers complete with rhinestone outfits and feather boas. Each of the musicians was excellent in their own right and elevated the music to the next level, especially the clarinet/saxophone, and trumpet players. The pianist, cellist, and drummer were equally impressive and did some solos as well.

This polished, engaging performance plays each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings through 15 February. The doors open at 5pm so you can relax with a cocktail and have a delicious meal from Lamont's before the show starts at 7pm, with over two hours of gorgeous music.
