Had The Wrong Idea About This Show. It Is A Sexy Skimpy Show With Strip-teases Set To Original Queen Tracks With Lip-synching. Was Great Fun!

It could be argued that Queen and Freddie Mercury were burlesque to begin with, so it's hard to go wrong when they're performed by queens of burlesque. The music is, of course, unimpeachable and all the big hits you hope to hear are, well, here.

Opening with We Will Rock You, just as a crowd warmer, it bodes promise of what was to come: a lotta rockin'. There's a rather salacious treatment of a glittery vacuum cleaner to 'I Want to Break Free' which would definitely been banned on US MTV. There's the double act of 'Under Pressure' with Blake Cassette doing a nice turn as Ziggy-era Bowie.

Gigi Love turns in one of the highlights with the deep cut 'Body Language' of 1982's 'Hot Space' by reverse stripping and putting her clothes on throughout the act.

The stalwart 'Bohemian Rhapsody' was expressed through ostrich feather fans and silk ribbons, proving you don't have to get down to your pasties for burlesque.

Ivy Cabaret producer Ivy Temptress brings out the scythe for a reaping interpretation of 'Another One Bites the Dust' and would it be burlesque without 'Fat Bottomed Girls' making the rocking world go 'round? Hardly.

Kitty Litteur brings her renowned magic act to... you guessed it: 'A Kind of Magic.' She brings her "rabbit ears" out of the hat and you know what rabbit ears I mean. If you do, then this is the show for you, because you are of like mind with a hundred others who'd packed Connections for a Night at the Fringe. You know you want to break free, so get your tix and you'll discover a crazy little thing called love... of burlesque.
