Who doesn't want to visit the Dinosaurs?

Time for some Facty Facts! Dinosaur Time Machine marries education with entertainment, taking the audience on a ride back in time in a time machine to learn more about dinosaurs for Dinosaur Club. The two performers, Jack and Flick, fully embody the child-like love of dinosaurs that brings the young audience members right along on the journey with them.

We start in Dinosaur Club in 2024, but we don't stay there the whole time. With fun facts and some dinosaur impressions to boot, the show has enough switches of speed and changes of topic to keep the audience's attention for the most part. The pre-time travel section was perhaps a little long, but the audience interaction, physical theatre and circus elements kept the audience engaged and laughing. The puppet reveals were a great addition later in the show and definitely an audience favourite (my nephew wants the first one), but I won't spoil what that's all about.

Attending with a small human, I can confirm that this was a winner with the target audience. My nephew, who is usually quite quiet, was getting into the call and response, laughing and generally having a great time. It did run a little long (due to a microphone mishap), which meant that the audience got a little more wriggly towards the end, so do be aware of the show length if you have a wriggly one.

This show is definitely targeting the 3-9-year-old market and those with small people. Worth seeing, but be prepared to be told all the dinosaur facts on the way home.
