Drag, burlesque and queer music is what Queer Piano Bar is all about. Each performer will amaze you with their beautiful voices as they take you back to the hits of the early 2000s and beyond. If you’re looking to hear songs that you know and love, you’ll probably have to be over thirty. If you’re more of a Gen Z, this night is a really fun way to switch up all the Lil Nas X and Miley Cyrus you’ve been listening to and discover what music meant to a completely different generation of queer people.

While it’s definitely a show that will have you cheering and laughing, Queer Piano Bar is more on the fun and chill end of the spectrum. The performers have a great rapport with each other and lots of charisma. They’re all professionals who are at home on a stage and can hit every note in a song flawlessly. Each one of them has their own bold and colourful style that brings something new and theatrical to the stage as they share the comedy, pride and romance of queer music. You’ll see glitter, glamour, ruffles, heels and really, really long eyelashes – everything quintessential to drag, burlesque and cabaret.

In this show, the wow factor of each performance rests almost completely on the musical talent and charisma of the performers. They know what their strengths are, and they play to them, creating a warm, comfortable and accepting space for people to be themselves and see queer stories celebrated onstage. As the performers banter, dance and sing, they build up a connection with the audience – the first rows only a meter in front of them – which keeps everyone cheering and clapping. If you love drag and queer culture, this is the show for you. If you’re still on the fence, it’s a great introduction to what it’s all about.
