A Canadian, South African-Indian and Londoner walk into a bar…I’ll leave the jokes to them.

Get yourself down to Universal Bar and prepare to get wild with three fantastic comedy acts and an MC who knows how to loosen up a crowd. The rooftop terrace bar creates a small, intimate atmosphere for these comedy acts to kick off. Just beware! Nothing’s off limits so don’t sit in the front row if you don’t want to be picked on.

The show consists of three fifteen-minute acts, all set to make you chuckle, and an MC who keeps the crowd laughing between sets. The acts were great, but the crowd was a little tough to loosen up. The audience accounts for half the fun, so if you’re booking into this show, be sure to bring the laughs. An uptight crowd makes everyone feel uncomfortable! Even still, the show was fun, witty and entertaining.

“But wait! Where’s the striptease come into this?” I’m glad you asked. When all three comedy acts have had their time on stage, the MC will bring them back out and instruct the crowd to cheer the loudest for the comedian they DON’T want to strip. The person with the quietest applause has to get a little sexy (and awkward) and take their kit off on stage to a classic track like Ginuwine’s “Pony”. Now don’t get your hopes up for a Magic Mike-esque performance. They’re comedians, not strippers, but that just makes it all the funnier. Fancy an awkward lap dance? Be sure to volunteer when the MC asks.

Comedy Striptease is definitely a show for the peeps who know how to have a little fun and banter with the comedians, and is great for those looking for a little late-night fun. It’s comedy with something a little saucy on the side! What more could you want?
