(Not) The Bachelor Live: Hosted by Luke Bolland is Perfect Match meets The Bachelor and is a barrel of laughs. Returning for its sixth year (Not) The Bachelor Live brings together an eligible bachelor and 3 lovely single ladies for a night of fun, frivolity and laughter. It’s like getting an entire season of The Bachelor in one hour, without the champagne fueled cocktail parties and with less lipgloss.
Our host, Luke Bolland is well known in the Perth comedy scene, and for good reason. His quick-witted humour peppered the show, keeping the show moving without the awkward moments of a regular first date.
With a different round of singles each show, this is one you can watch again and again. Tonight the crowd was rooting for our bachelor Tom, to find his love match for a lucrative Valentines Day date. With three single ladies competing for his attention with games and questions like ‘When someone says threesome I feel ____?’ and ‘If you could have sex with a celebrity who would it be?’ it made for compelling viewing.
The crowd benefitted from Tom’s friends being in the front row, heckling when he was taking too long answering a question and calling him out for being a bit of a fence sitter. We also had a previous couple from last year in attendance, proving that Luke’s show has the same success rate as the reality shows on TV.
Tom was definitely in high demand, with two members of the audience throwing a spanner in the works and pitching themselves as better companions for the date than the singles on stage. In the end Tom walked away with an impending date with Erin, an actor who would save her blue jumpsuit in a house fire.
(Not) The Bachelor Live is a fun night out for singles and couples alike. Luke hosts both Bachelor and Bachelorette versions of the show during FRINGE WORLD Festival so you’ll always find something up your alley!
