A Comedy of Financial Error$
Whilst more of a Finance presentation with some humour, rather than standup on errors as such, I thought Shash was very personable and did a good job turning his profession into an educational show! Thanks heaps for the tips! Hope to see his other show Tech Support in next year’s fringe if it’s held in the evening as unfortunately beach weather won this time round:)

Swipe Left for Drama: How Childhood Upsets Cause Romantic Regrets
The show was reasonably relatable and educational with some funny moments, but I felt the energy was a bit low and the comedian was engaging with the same people in the front row audience too much as if struggling for material. Maybe make it a bit more into a rollercoaster of emotions and spread the engagement around a bit?

Tom Cashman - 'Everything'
Now this fringe show was one of the best I have seen this time round! Hilarious relatable standup that certainly lived up to the title ‘Everything’ with not only a clever use of numbers and but also attention to detail and an educational element upfront around the royalties that WA receives from fossil fuel companies! Loved how the artist skipped over the “romance’ section at the beginning, only to come to back to it with a sad story of manipulation or two! I hope to see a new one next year :)

The Umbilical Brothers - The Distraction
Something different – a show performed simultaneously live on stage as well as on screen! Clever, fast paced, quite absurd physical comedy. I am probably not so much into retro special effects as some, and found the heads blowing up a little repetitive, but overall entertaining enough:)

A Comedy of Financial Error$
It felt more educational PowerPoint presentation about finances than a comedy about funny or unusual financial mistakes or situations which is what the title implies. We don't go to Fringe to learn I go to laugh. Funny PowerPoint slides with stories about crazy loans people have taken out or money making failures or crazy government schemes would turn this show around and make it what it could be.
