“Recycle that, would see again”
I have seen Mariah's show twice, and laughed both times because I can very much relate to the topics! Also enjoyed the smooth transitions between topics, and new ideas added.

Influencers beware! A blogger's life in the flesh comes to life in this one-woman show by Mariah O'Dea. For people who are not fans of yoga and Pilates, the idea of sitting and watching a show mocking certain types associated with them seems much more appealing.

An often-dreaded part of social media became all too real for any filter to cover. In between explaining various ways of serving kale and teaching a humorously insincere yoga class, a turbulent life, normally kept offline was revealed. Hypocrisies were laid bare (somewhat literally at certain points) throughout the show. Not even an influencer can hide in a live performance.

O’Dea showed incredible engagement with her audience, eyes peering out any moment she faced the crowd, often addressing attendees directly. If you sit close enough, you may find yourself involved in the show. Or being directly asked to join a health and wellness pyramid scheme. The whole show almost seems like an ad for a pyramid scheme that just can’t take itself seriously enough.

Packed with pleasantly over-the-top humour and theatrics, O’Dea’s energy levels would give a blogger a run for their money any day. While a parody of fitness, health benefits from this show include laughter, smiles, and an interesting question at the end. All good for physical and mental wellbeing, without a half marathon or kale.
